ArtBeat is promoting tribal art of Madhya Pradesh - GOND ART

Paintings that emote. Paintings that enchant.
Paintings that speak. Paintings that express.
the folk paintings of Madhya Pradesh.
Vivacious, variant and vivid.

The art is most commonly found in Madhya Pradesh but one can see its clear footprints in some parts of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgharh.

The inheritors of the Dravidian Culture - the Gonds are the simple tribes with a high thinking of non - egalitarian. Mainly found in Central India the Gonds  preach the Gods path and do agriculture as their main work.
Tribals cant remain frozen in a time - wrap, but their cultural identity remain the most important feature of their existence.

Carbon used to collect on the walls while women cook food in chulas. While removing it, the patterns that it created gave the inception of Gond Paintings. Later, It  came on walls as decorative art  of their homes.
Sangaon ki Mitti formed the basis of the paintings when it was  done on the walls. Now, Acrylic colors are mainly used in painting whether its done on paper, canvas  or walls.

(this a brief about Gond Painting... we will talk about the art, the artisans and many more in detail in our next posts)

Why ArtBeat is born.... :)

We always wanted to paint a canvas with our imagination and creativity so one day we sat with BIG mug of coffee, colourful  pen, crayons, paints and mind full of ideas... we thought of spiting all our creative thoughts on a BIG sheet of chart...... We have made that chart - our canvas and painted it with random the thoughts that are striking our mind... after so much of chit chat we have realized that.....
We always wanted to do something which is DESI and fun.. We are always inspired from India's rich art and culture, colourful trucks and auto rickshaws, people, festivals and..never ending list....After a BIG discussion we have  narrowed down our thoughts and decided to promote Indian Art... Tribal art have made a place in the world of contemporary art.

For the Love for India and It's art and culture, ArtBeat is born.

Essence of Tribal Art

Art is a form of self expression. When the imagination and thoughts of a person takes a tangible shape a piece of art is born.

The tradition of Indian tribal is as old as its trees and rivers and hills and humans. From time immemorial tribal people have expressed themselves through the medium of painting. Images have been sketched on pots and pans, on walls of village houses, on dried leaves and later on clothes and paper. Executed in almost all possible ways, painting has been an integral part of Indian civilization. Evolving out of the cave paintings of prehistoric period, tribal Painting continues to be a living tradition.
Contemporary society has unearthed this immense treasure of tribal paintings that was shrouded in anonymity and neglect. Warli paintings, Saura paintings, Gond paintings and other forms of tribal art are internationally acclaimed possessions today.

ArtBeat is all about promoting the Indian art through it's merchandise among people.
